Volunteers are the backbone of Camp Promise. Whether you have a few hours throughout the year, availability to help with a fundraising event, or you'd like to volunteer during the week of camp, we'll find a way to put your talents to good use.

Counselors
Camp Promise-East | Hebron, CT| August 17-24, 2013 (Saturday to Saturday)
Camp Promise-West | Vaughn, WA | August 3-9, 2013 (Saturday to Friday)
As a counselor, you will be paired with one of our campers for the entire week of camp. Together, you'll participate in camp activities, meals, dances, and anything else your camper wants to do. As part of your cabin team, you will be responsible for providing 24-hour care for your camper, including transfers, personal care, and emotional support. Counselors arrive prior to our campers to receive training. Lodging with in-state counselors for the night prior to camp can be arranged for out-of-state counselors.
Logistics Staff

The logistics team set ups and takes down activities, decorates for dances, and keeps camp running on schedule.

Medical Staff
Camp Promise-West | Vaughn, WA | August 3-9, 2013 (Saturday to Friday)
We are currently looking for doctors and registered nurses in the state of Washington to attend camp and provide medical care for our campers. Medical staff is responsible for dispensing medications for all campers and counselors, administering first aid, and responding to any emergencies at camp. During down time, they are encouraged to attend activities with our campers. Camp experience and experience working with people with neuromuscular disorders a plus.

This Is How We Roll Bar Crawl & Benefit Dinner Volunteers
Ballard, WA | Summer, 2013
Help keep our 3rd annual fundraiser rolling. Positions include selling raffle tickets and t-shirts during our crawl (feel free to participate as you do so, must be 21+), being a volunteer server at La Isla (must have a valid Washington State Food Handler's Permit), supervising the silent auction, and helping with crowd control.

Are you a juggler? Hypnotist? Member of a band? We are always seeking fun and diverse entertainers and camp activities. Past guests have included a magician, barbershop quartet, dance instructor, drum circle leader, professional soccer player, karaoke DJ, and Harley Davidson chapter.
